Darlene Williams

imageAfter a dark night of the soul, following a series of what many would call 'health catastrophes' and the emotionally wrenching loss of her dear father and several other devastating personal crises, Darlene was propelled to go on an inner journey of self-discovery where she learned to live her life from an inner place of love rather than fear and to be guided by her body’s innate wisdom.

What Darlene learned through these trials is that we are the creators of our own reality, not victims of circumstance. Life is a mirror, constantly reflecting ourselves back to us through others we come into contact with. The actions of others, our physical symptoms and the events that are talking place all around us are signals and clues to assist us in recognizing exactly where we need to take responsibility for healing ourselves so we can become whole within ourselves.

Since Darlene came successfully through her 'dark night’, she has received six years of advanced group facilitation and counselling training through Graeme and Gayle O’Brien’s Phoenix Rising Group.

Her passion is to support young teens, individually and in groups, to believe in themselves and to build their self-esteem. For the past 22 years Darlene has incorporated dance therapy (inner dance) into her esteem building groups as a way of giving teens a way to express and release unexpressed emotion stored in their physical bodies.

She has found that allowing them to express in this non-verbal raw form gives them a way to communicate with important people in their lives completely even when they don’t have the words, which many teens do not.

She does her profound healing work at two venues. One is at her highly successful dance centre in Albury, N.S.W, where she and her staff teach dance to 300 students each term. The second venue is through her involvement as Co-Founder of The Sanctuary ~ Lane Cove in Sydney where she and her husband co-facilitate group therapy weekends and Six Day workshops.

Darlene lives happily in Albury, NSW with her family.

She can be contacted there on 0417 267 801 for private counselling, esteem building and Inner Dance sessions.
