Bodymind Insights Albury

Bodymind Insights is the loving creation of Darlene and Greg Williams. It is a business born of the passion of two like-minded individuals who have overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. The mission of Bodymind Insights is to support and assist others to heal their past and change their future.

Both Darlene and Greg have completed 6 years of intensive Group Facilitator training through the Phoenix Rising Group Therapy Training Organisation in Australia. (www.phoenixrising.com.au)

Darlene brings over twenty two years of experience and expertise in expression through movement and dance and the extensive practice of cranial sacral bodywork into her unique and powerful style of group facilitation.

As well as being a sensitive and effective counsellor, Greg is also an accomplished BodyWorker having trained in the Body Work principles of Brandon Raynor, Errol Clarke and Trevor Kendall.

Together, their group counselling work is focused on the BODYMIND, the subconscious, intuitive part of each of us that knows exactly how to heal us and keep us safe. It is the BODYMIND, which knows how to heal a cut finger, or a broken leg and it is the BODYMIND, which knows how to heal us emotionally as well.

By re-connecting with our BODYMIND, through focused intention and mindful awareness of its subtle messages, we can become masters of our own life's Journey.

In their sixteen years together they have faced many physical, mental, emotional and spiritual challenges and have found ways to survive, transcend, and see the gifts through the pain in all of them.

Darlene almost lost her life to misdiagnosed septicemia after delivering their third baby. She survived through listening to the small voice somewhere deep inside her body, which guided her in what to do to stay alive.

After that she found her passion to support others in their healing work. Her miraculous recovery was how she discovered the power of the BODYMIND to heal the body, mind, emotion and soul.

This was a turning point for both Greg and Darlene as through this crisis they found that we can all begin to ask our BODYMIND for healing and we can act out of love for self and others instead of fear based on outside influences and expectations.

Issues which Greg and Darlene regularly counsel their clients to resolve include;

  • People-pleasing and self-hatred
  • Guilt and shame of present or past behaviours
  • Abandonment and Rejection by self and others
  • Reacting to life fearfully rather than from a place of love
  • Negative judgments, resentments towards self and others
  • Grief, sorrow, and other losses including infidelity (loss of trust)
  • Addictive thinking & behaviours
  • Connection and Disconnection from self and others
  • Clarifying Values and Life Direction
  • Self-Sabotage
  • Identifying self-defeating patterns and belief systems
  • Trauma and abuse
  • Physical manifestations of emotional repression and blockages
  • They both believe that,

'Learning to know who we truly are, and what we want out of life is the absolute foundation to an authentic, fully experienced and fulfilled life journey.

Our past history and experiences can haunt us and be incredibly painful if we allow them to determine who we are. We are not our personal history or our personal behavior. We are not our thoughts, or our feelings. These are only small parts of the full expression of who we are. So, letting go of the idea that our personal history defines us sets us free to find the Truth of who we are, and in that we find inner peace, at last.'

As body image plays a significant role in so many young women and men. Supporting them to love and accept themselves as they are early in life gives them the opportunity to travel their journey with confidence, freedom and a greater sense of their own innate magnificence. They can then learn to trust their intuition and make choices from an inner place of love and acceptance. Ultimately these choices are self-supportive and self-enhancing resulting in well-balanced, happier young people.

Darlene and Greg are also partners in another centre in Sydney, Lane Cove called the Sanctuary.
